So as one of my New Year's changes/promises (whatever you want to call them) is that I have told myself that this year I will take more time to myself for photography and enjoy my time alone in nature photographing anything and everything I see. So I've done this twice this year, and amazingly around my busy schedule, which I seem to be amazingly ahead on this year! :) So I've decided to share some images with you. I just love going out into the country, in the silence of fields, nature, and country roads, and just enjoy God's greatest creations. It's so calming and stress relieving, especially when I have so much going on in my life! It's just nice to get out alone, and do something for myself and share that with everyone else. So, here are some of the snowy images! Enjoy!

2009 is done, and 2010 has sprung!
What an AMAZING year I have had! So much has happened this year, not only in my career but also in my personal life. Friends came and went, and so much learning and growing came from every step I made! I did some traveling, although not enough to satisfy my vacation needs but I did get to meet some GREAT new people, clients and most of all friends! I grew SOOOO much this year mentally and spiritually, and so did my business! I could have NEVER imagined I would be where I am at today, doing what I love! It is such a pleasure and joy to captures some of my clients most precious memories, from weddings to families to children's and everything in between! I truly enjoy my job! Lots of opportunities were brought on because of my 2009 business year, and I can't wait to see whats ahead in 2010! Thanks to everyone that supported, pushed and helped me throughout the year on my business adventures! I am truly blessed to have all of you in my life! I created a VERY quick slide show looking back on 2009 weddings and sessions. I know I missed a lot of sessions I'm sure but this was quick! ENJOY!
Well, my New Years Eve celebration was like no other! I got the pleasure of photographing such a fun, amazing and vibrant couple, for one of the biggest days of their life! Danielle and Mike were united in marriage on New Years Eve at St. Isadore's, the favorite church (pry because I belong there!) Their wedding day was so absolutely amazing, down to EVERY last detail! Danielle's shoes, dress, hair piece, EVERYTHING was so stunning! Even the groomsman stepped up the fun with some amazing hats and cigars! I had so much fun and the reception was amazing! Simple New Years decorations and noise makers graced each table, and nearing the end of 2009, balloons were hung from the ceiling and once the countdown to 2010 was through, the balloons fell, creating a one of a kind wedding experience! I was blessed enough to have my amazing assistant with me, who I also happen to be dating, so it was all the more special! I BIG thanks and congrats go out to you two! Thanks so much for having NWD capture your special day and enjoy the images!
Now 2010 started off with an absolutely amazing trip down to Topeka, Kansas for some wedding photography. I feel so blessed when someone from out of state hires me to be such a big part of their special day! I was supposed to leave on the 7th, but thanks to an incoming snow storm, hindering travel even more then it already was, I had to make some changes and leave 2 days early to avoid another 6 inches of snow that would add to the already 25+ inches we have gotten in the last few weeks! Due to the last minute changes, my assistant and good friend (which also happens to be a past wedding client) was unable to make it down due to work. But I was fortunate enough to have an amazing man in my life that took time out of his two jobs to travel down there with me to make sure I was safe and sound, and that everything went smoothly. We made it there and back safely, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to go down there and meet such amazing people! Emily looked gorgeous and Joe you made a fantastic groom! The reception was absolutely amazing and I was in awe at the view of the capitol right across the street! I had to use that as a backdrop for some pictures of course! Everything went so smoothly, and I enjoyed my mini vacation so much! It was VERY much needed! Congrats to Emily and Joe on their special day! Thanks so much for the opportunity to be a part of it, and get to travel to a new location I have yet to photograph in! I wish you two the best of luck, and hope to see you this summer for a trip to the zoo! Thanks again you two and enjoy the images!

Happy Holidays
This winter is amazingly busy for me, but that's a good thing! I never imagined that I would have grown so much in one year! I have yet to have a free weekend but I am truly enjoying all the people I am getting to meet! Christmas has now come and gone, and I just want to thank all my new and repeat clients for supporting me and my business, and an especially big thanks to my family and friends that have showed so much support throughout this year! Without all of you I would be nowhere, so thank you to everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed the HUGE winter snow storm that blew through for Christmas, causing my family, like many, to cancel a lot of plans. Minus the snow, I had a great Christmas with my family, being snowed in and taking lots of random pictures to pass the time! I did get all caught up which is GREAT because my busy wedding season is about to begin! I also want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! This will probably be my last blog before then, and then its onto more weddings, including trips to Topeka, KS and San Diego, CA. I have some great opportunities with travel coming up and I am so excited! Anyways, onto my sessions!
First up is Ashlynn. She's 18 month and what a doll!!! It took her awhile to break out of her shell but once she did she was she made my job even easier if that's possible! By some form of luck during her session, the mail came and low and behold I got some new pettiskirts in! We were all so excited! So she was the first girl to be in some amazing new skirts that I love so much! Anyways, I had a ton of shots to go through and so many that I loved so it was hard to choose! Onto the images!
Look at that face!!!
My next session was with the Swearingen Family. I really enjoyed getting to meet another new family this year and capture some amazing images for them. I was so happy we had a nice snow fall on the ground, and that they were more then willing to brave the weather for some shots! Their daughter Kallie wanted some images of herself and I was MORE then happy to do that! She had some amazing ideas of what she wanted and her images are some of my favorites! Thanks so much to the Swearingen Family for choosing New World Designs! Enjoy your images!
Next up was an adorable newborn baby boy named Payton! I have worked with the family earlier this fall for family pictures so mom will most likely look familiar! (She was due just weeks after I did their family pictures) Well, Payton is finally here and WOW is he a handsome little guy! I had SOOOO much fun working with mom's ideas for pictures and really enjoyed the creativity she had in mind for her son's pictures! Thanks so much for letting me capture Payton's first weeks in this big world! Enjoy everyday you have with the little guy! Thanks again!
And last up before the holidays was a set of cousins, ALL under the age of 7! They were all so adorable, and all matched! That made it so much cuter! This was one of my few on-location indoor lighting shoots for me and I LOVE that I got to capture the children inside Grandma's house! It was gorgeous! I have worked with the family before, like many, and really love working with kids! I learned that my equipment is quite the entertainment for children as well, and it was too cute watching them parade around the house with my umbrellas while I set up! Once we started, we of course had the challenge of getting four children to look at me at the same time, and smile! Grandma and one of the mothers were on hand to help out, and I greatly appreciated it! They did great, with lots of bribing as kids often need and I got some lovely images! This was one of my favorite sessions I think since I got to photograph children in their elements, and even got lots of hugs and kisses! Thanks to the Kubler & Mausbach Families for choosing NWD! I hope you enjoy the images!
Winter has arrived!
It's crazy how this year has flown by! So many new clients I have gotten to meet, and so many amazing friends I have made! This year is defiantly ending with faith, in so many things in my life! I am so truely blessed right now to be doing what I love and be surrounded by such amazing people and clients, some of which I consider family! Anyways, soon it will be Christmas, and then the start of a whole new year! Its crazy to think about but I am so excited for what 2010 will bring! Ok, onto my new sessions!
First up was the Kohl twins. They are 6 months now and they are getting cutter by the minute! I can't believe how fast they are growing! So adorable! I can't wait for their 9 month pictures so I can have even more fun in the studio with two adorable bundles of joy!
The next day, the Kohl family came back for some family pictures. I think the twins are sick of all the lights by now! Everyone did great that day and I really enjoy working with such a great family!
Next up for the week was a senior. I had a great time working with Eric and his mom. It's always great working with seniors, and hearing about their plans for the future. Enjoy your senior year Eric and good luck in your future endeavors!
Next was a cute couple, James and Heather. It was great getting to hear about their families and lifes, and I had a blast working with them! They are so cute together and know how to have fun! They had a gorgeous day as well so that really helped!
Last session of the week, Danielle & Mike. They are my soon to be couple, planning a New Years eve wedding in just a few weeks! They are such a cute couple and so laid back! It really makes my job so much fun when I can run with ideas! They were even daring enough to venture out into the beginning of a winter storm for a few shots! Thanks so much you two and see you in a couple weeks for the big day!
