Profession Photographers of Nebraska Conference and LOTS of business changes underway!

This last weekend I FINALLY got to attend one of the PP of N Conferences in Grand Island, NE. I was on my Vegas vacation for the fall conference and I finally got to go to one (thanks to a lot of convincing by John Landauer, an amazing photographer from Fremont, NE) I was very happy I got to go, as did my significant other. I learn so much from this conference and have come to the realization thanks to the many mentors and speakers there that I need to revamp many things in my business structure.
So, what does this mean for my clients you ask? Well, prices will be increasing. I've been putting this off for some time now, but I promise it won't be a drastic change. My online proofing will for the most part be almost eliminated, with sessions having only 3-5 days to order online. You will also have a consultation with a week of your session for me to present your images to you! This will be something I think every client is going to love! As far as weddings, the packages will be changing, and my lower end albums are being completely eliminated. I will only be offering my high end leather albums now, and there will be some changes to the copyright free discs that are offered. This will take me a big of time to look over my sales figures and see what will work best for my business and my clients, but I can guarantee it is all for the better! The discs will not fully be eliminated I promise, but there will be changes and restrictions!
If you would like to receive the new price list when it is finished, please message me in an email and I can get one to you asap! This will take me some time, so if you are looking to book something in the near future, please get your wedding or session booked and paid for before those changes go into play! I appreciate every one's support, and I can't wait to see what else is in store for me in 2010! I already have so many weddings that I don't know if I will have a moment to breathe! Thanks again everyone!

Winter Wonders

So as one of my New Year's changes/promises (whatever you want to call them) is that I have told myself that this year I will take more time to myself for photography and enjoy my time alone in nature photographing anything and everything I see. So I've done this twice this year, and amazingly around my busy schedule, which I seem to be amazingly ahead on this year! :) So I've decided to share some images with you. I just love going out into the country, in the silence of fields, nature, and country roads, and just enjoy God's greatest creations. It's so calming and stress relieving, especially when I have so much going on in my life! It's just nice to get out alone, and do something for myself and share that with everyone else. So, here are some of the snowy images! Enjoy!

2009 is done, and 2010 has sprung!

What an AMAZING year I have had! So much has happened this year, not only in my career but also in my personal life. Friends came and went, and so much learning and growing came from every step I made! I did some traveling, although not enough to satisfy my vacation needs but I did get to meet some GREAT new people, clients and most of all friends! I grew SOOOO much this year mentally and spiritually, and so did my business! I could have NEVER imagined I would be where I am at today, doing what I love! It is such a pleasure and joy to captures some of my clients most precious memories, from weddings to families to children's and everything in between! I truly enjoy my job! Lots of opportunities were brought on because of my 2009 business year, and I can't wait to see whats ahead in 2010! Thanks to everyone that supported, pushed and helped me throughout the year on my business adventures! I am truly blessed to have all of you in my life! I created a VERY quick slide show looking back on 2009 weddings and sessions. I know I missed a lot of sessions I'm sure but this was quick! ENJOY!
Well, my New Years Eve celebration was like no other! I got the pleasure of photographing such a fun, amazing and vibrant couple, for one of the biggest days of their life! Danielle and Mike were united in marriage on New Years Eve at St. Isadore's, the favorite church (pry because I belong there!) Their wedding day was so absolutely amazing, down to EVERY last detail! Danielle's shoes, dress, hair piece, EVERYTHING was so stunning! Even the groomsman stepped up the fun with some amazing hats and cigars! I had so much fun and the reception was amazing! Simple New Years decorations and noise makers graced each table, and nearing the end of 2009, balloons were hung from the ceiling and once the countdown to 2010 was through, the balloons fell, creating a one of a kind wedding experience! I was blessed enough to have my amazing assistant with me, who I also happen to be dating, so it was all the more special! I BIG thanks and congrats go out to you two! Thanks so much for having NWD capture your special day and enjoy the images!
Now 2010 started off with an absolutely amazing trip down to Topeka, Kansas for some wedding photography. I feel so blessed when someone from out of state hires me to be such a big part of their special day! I was supposed to leave on the 7th, but thanks to an incoming snow storm, hindering travel even more then it already was, I had to make some changes and leave 2 days early to avoid another 6 inches of snow that would add to the already 25+ inches we have gotten in the last few weeks! Due to the last minute changes, my assistant and good friend (which also happens to be a past wedding client) was unable to make it down due to work. But I was fortunate enough to have an amazing man in my life that took time out of his two jobs to travel down there with me to make sure I was safe and sound, and that everything went smoothly. We made it there and back safely, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to go down there and meet such amazing people! Emily looked gorgeous and Joe you made a fantastic groom! The reception was absolutely amazing and I was in awe at the view of the capitol right across the street! I had to use that as a backdrop for some pictures of course! Everything went so smoothly, and I enjoyed my mini vacation so much! It was VERY much needed! Congrats to Emily and Joe on their special day! Thanks so much for the opportunity to be a part of it, and get to travel to a new location I have yet to photograph in! I wish you two the best of luck, and hope to see you this summer for a trip to the zoo! Thanks again you two and enjoy the images!
